Did You Know? Equibras is the First Equipment Supplier to Have Successfully Installed Materials Under Magnetic Fields

Equibras is the first and only equipment supplier to have successfully installed materials (such as cathodes and side wall blocks) under the influence of magnetic fields. This was made possible with the potlining machine E60.  

This operation included many technological challenges. First, the strength of the magnetic fields influenced the materials stability during handling. Then, the operation of the potlining machine was also a challenge. Not only the equipment had to be physically resistant it also had to be able to move freely without disturbing the magnetic fields.
